- Unfortunately this thermostat housing is far from a quality product and required machining so the thermostat would seat properly to allow correct installation. If this is all you can find on the market it will have to do ... but my recommendation would be to locate a NOS housing. If you search for photos on the net you will see a substantial difference in the casting and how it is machined. To add ... after only 3 days on the car it started to leak due to a crack in the casting.
