- I have bought other insulation nails and found that they were too thick and when you tried to nail them home they would bend and distort. I bought these plugs from Hemi Performance and they literally glide home through the firewall. They are the correct length and design and if you are restoring a Valiant engine bay they are the only ones to fit.
