The original "modified timing cover" by Hemi Performance.

We take an factory original timing cover, have it chemically cleaned, sand blasted and powder coated. We then fit an adjustable camshaft retainer bolt.

Supplied complete with adjustment procedure, new harmonic balancer seal, timing cover and water pump gasket.

Designed to be easy to fit and reliable for years to come - only requires adjusting at 20,000kms intervals.

The Hemi 6 engine was developed in such haste that one of the key components overlooked was a retainer to hold the camshaft in place. This can be the cause of that "ticky lifter" sound that Hemi engines are known for.
Whilst working for Chrysler Asutralia in the mid-to-late 70s, William developed the modified timing cover to alleviate the problem of the camshaft floating and also the secondary problem of stretching the agricultural designed timing chains.
These covers were dealer fitted by some Chrysler dealerships in the late 80s, and Hemi Performance has offered this cover since the late 70s.
