Close but no cigar

I purchased this to trouble shoot a leaking thermostat housing that I'd previously had to square off with a flat block and wet & dry sand paper. Unfortunately this one was also warped and needed the same treatment. I also had to take a few thousands of an inch off the thermostat itself so it would sit in the relief properly. It's on the engine now and appears to be working for the moment. So far so good. Time will tell.
