Overview
This big brake rotor kit is a huge step up from the tiny rotors and calipers fitted to our factory Valiants. Put simply, if you want to stop quickly and consistently over and over, this is the kit for you!
The advantages of the huge 330mm rotors can not be understated! They are larger and thicker meaning it takes longer for heat soak to occur; also due to the increase surface area any heat that accumulates will dissipate faster! The increased diameter of the rotor also increases the maximum stopping power you can gain at the same brake pressure; this means you get more friction for less brake pedal pressure.
The all new huge twin spot calipers also has major advantages over a smaller single piston types; the twin spot pistons keeps even pressure on the pad maximising the friction generated by the brake pads.
The included Hubs and caliper brackets make this conversion a breeze on any Valiant previously fitted with vented rotors (normally VG/VH/VJ/VK/CL/CM) - If you currently have a early model with Drum brakes, all you need is to get a hold of some VG-CM stub axles or buy a set of all new lowered stub axles and these will bolt straight on!

Important notes: These rotors use a 1/2 stud so you will need to choose nuts with the correct seat to match your mags. Calipers will not clear 15" factory mags, Recommended rim size is 17". If you are upgrading from early valiant drums, the PCD pattern changes from 4" to 4.5", this means you will require different mags to suit these new hubs. Included brake hoses are street legal, ADR 7/00 (Australian Design Rule) stamped, pressure tested to 3000psi, approved and compliant for road use within Australia.

- I bought this upgrade kit about 5 years ago and it is still going strong. Good entry level upgrade kit and much better than the standard front drums. Relatively easy to install.
